Game Description
Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is a fast-paced 2D action platforming game set in the dark fantasy world of Nosgoth. There’s smooth melee fighting, evasive movement, supernatural powers, vertical exploration and environmental riddles, all set in a world of haunted ruins and disintegrating kingdoms.
The story is told through the eyes of several characters, among them Kain and Raziel in different moments of his past, and the vampire Elaleth. Each character has their own powers and fighting style, and the adventure takes place in shattered timelines and new elements of the Legacy of Kain realm.
The game combines retro-influenced pixel-art gameplay with animated cinematics and certain PS1-era inspired 3D scenes. The new adventure is also tangentially tied to the established Legacy of Kain atmosphere with the return of voice talent and a unique score by Celldweller.
