Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen combines the original Dragon's Dogma 2 experience with a major expansion featuring new stories, challenges, equipment, and areas. Players take the role of the Arisen and explore a large fantasy world alongside customizable Pawn companions while choosing their vocation, equipment, and approach to combat.
The expansion of Dragon's Dogma introduces Norgan, a mysterious snowy region in the north where players can uncover the story of the Fallen Dragon and encounter powerful enemies. New equipment obtained in Norgan can be examined to reveal additional abilities, adding a stronger loot-focused element to exploration and combat.
The package also adds 12 dungeon challenges through the Lost Rites content and expands character customization with new hairstyles and tattoos. The Nintendo Switch 2 version contains both the base game and the Dark Arisen expansion in one package and is designed as a single-player open-world action RPG.
