Game Description

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a relaxing life simulation game that lets players create their own island community from the ground up. After arriving on a deserted island, players gradually transform the environment by collecting resources, crafting items, decorating their homes, and developing the surrounding area.

Daily activities are at the heart of the experience. Players can go fishing, catch insects, collect materials, plant trees and flowers, customize furniture, and interact with a variety of animal residents. The game does not force players toward a particular objective, allowing everyone to develop their island at their own pace.

As the island grows, new facilities and residents become available. Players can redesign outdoor spaces, change the landscape, create paths, and personalize different areas according to their own ideas. Seasonal events and changing activities also give the island a sense of progression over time.

Multiplayer allows friends and family to visit islands and play together. Depending on the setup, multiple players can share an island or connect through local wireless and online features. Nintendo also offers the Happy Home Paradise paid DLC, which adds additional decorating-focused content.

The game received a major Version 3.0.0 update in January 2026, adding new content and features, followed by Version 3.0.3 in April 2026 with further adjustments and fixes.
