Game Description

Pokémon Sword takes Trainers to the Galar region, a new area filled with cities, countryside routes, wild Pokémon, and powerful Gym Leaders. Players begin their adventure by choosing Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble before setting out to compete in the Gym Challenge and pursue the title of Champion.

One of the game's biggest additions is the Wild Area, a large open environment where players can freely explore and encounter different Pokémon. The area also provides access to Max Raid Battles, where Trainers can team up with other players to battle powerful Dynamax Pokémon.

Battles introduce the Dynamax and Gigantamax mechanics, allowing certain Pokémon to become enormous and use powerful moves for a limited time. These mechanics add another layer of strategy to important battles, particularly during Gym challenges and Max Raid encounters.

Outside of battles, Trainers can customize their appearance, send Pokémon on Poké Jobs, and spend time with their team at Pokémon Camp. The game also includes local wireless and online features for battling and trading with other players.

Its Expansion Pass further expands the adventure with The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra, introducing additional areas, Pokémon, characters, and story content.
