Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! brings the classic Pokémon adventure into a colorful Nintendo Switch experience inspired by the original Kanto journey. Players travel alongside Pikachu, explore familiar locations, capture Pokémon, challenge Gym Leaders, and work toward becoming the best Pokémon Trainer.

The game introduces a catching system influenced by Pokémon GO, allowing wild Pokémon to be captured using motion controls with a Joy-Con or Poké Ball Plus accessory. Handheld Mode also supports button-based controls, giving players another way to play.

Exploration takes players across the Kanto region, where they encounter recognizable characters including Brock, Misty, Jessie, James, and Meowth. Pikachu also develops a stronger bond with the player throughout the adventure, while outfits allow both the Trainer and partner Pokémon to be customized.

Players can battle and trade with others through local wireless or online play. The game also supports connectivity with Pokémon GO, allowing compatible Kanto-region Pokémon to be transferred into the Switch adventure.
